This is the final step in becoming a Personal Trainer. If you are an energetic and dedicated fitness professional and would like to personal train your own clients,this course is for you! Body Blueprint has trained thousands of fitness professionals to become fitness leaders with over 30 years’ experience in the fitness industry. The Body Blueprint Personal Trainers Course will give you the tools to safely and confidently design personalized fitness programs for your clients.
Please note that if you wish to be BCRPA-certified as a Personal Trainer, this is the last course of 3 in the process. You must first register with BCRPA as a Fitness Leader (complete the Fitness Theory course, BCRPA exam, First Aid and CPR, and BCRPA registration), then you may take the Weight Training course followed by your ICE (practical exam) and 20 program designs, and THEN you may take the Personal Training course (Which will have a written and practical exam to follow).
The course covers: anatomy, physiology, anatomical planes, practical application of lever principles during weight training, nutrition, the effects of medications and certain food, health screening, testing and evaluation, medical limitation, cardio-respiratory program design, muscular strength and endurance program design, machines vs. free weights, postural analysis, stretching program design, adherence, motivation, counselling, communication, legal issues and business administration. This very thorough course will ensure you are comfortable, confident and safe while training your clients.
Online students will send in assignments and a few short videos to receive a certificate.
Prerequisites: Students must be certified as a Weight Training instructor, and complete the 20 program prerequisite (contact us for more info).
